When Harry Styles announced Pleasing in 2021, he didn't call it a beauty brand, but rather a "life brand." Nonetheless, it debuted with three skin-care and manicure products—a nail polish set, an illuminating serum, and a roller serum pen—with the goal of providing "joyful experiences and products that excite the senses and blur the boundaries.
" Pleasing is expanding with a new collaboration a year later: it has teamed up with Brazil-born designer Marco Ribeiro on a playful collection of products, including apparel, that celebrates happiness and color.
Limited Editing Collection Paris Based Ribeiro
The limited-edition collection with Paris-based Ribeiro is available today, and the collaboration includes five new Pleasing categories. A palette of pressed power pigments ($50), a trio of universal cream pigments ($40), a multipurpose gloss ($25), five new nail polish shades ($20 to $65 each), and two logo hoodies ($110 each) are available.
Style To Work
Styles has long been a fan of Ribeiro's work. His whimsical designs have appeared in editorials as well as the artwork for his latest album, Harry's House. "The way Marco uses color is so inspiring to me," Styles says. "Everything he creates exudes joy, fun, and playfulness." When we started talking about Pleasing collaborators, Marco was the first person I wanted to ask."
The pair wanted to offer simple, multifunctional products that reflected Ribeiro's polychromatic outlook. The earthy tones with pops of pink, orange, and purple in the pressed powder pigments have a wet-to-dry formula that can be applied with fingers, a brush, or a sponge.

"It's very versatile—you can use it anywhere, from your eyes to your cheeks," Ribeiro says. "Alternatively, you can combine it with the gloss and apply it to your lips." The cream pigments are a trio of buildable creams that can be worn separately or in combination (the shades include a vibrant blue, yellow, and pink). Meanwhile, the gloss can be applied to the lips, eyes, and skin for a wet-look finish.
Ribeiro adds that it was critical during the pigment formulation process for the selected shades to be inclusive for all. "The most important thing for me as a Black person was that it looked good on any skin type," he says.
Paris Fashion Week
Pleasing had to offer new nail colors because polish was one of its most successful items since its initial launch. "The colors are inspired by my previous collections," says Ribeiro, who is exhibiting at Paris Fashion Week. "Colors say so much to me—like it's a language." They settled on five colors: a matte brown, a vibrant orange and green, a glossy aquamarine and burgundy, and a glossy aquamarine and burgundy.
(Only the brown is sold separately; the others are sold as a two-piece set.) All of the polishes are biodegradable, vegan, and cruelty-free, with names in Portuguese to honor Ribeiro's heritage. "I tried to inject some of my personality into it," he says.
Best Apparel By Ribeiro
Pleasing's apparel offering was also expanded with this launch. Ribeiro designed two logo hoodies for the brand: the Mais (brown and yellow) and the Amor (pink and red)—combining to say mais amor, "more love" in Portuguese.
"Right now, we're sharing love with the world," Ribeiro says. "People need that right now, especially after the pandemic." The hoodies are made of 100 percent cotton and are cut and sewn in Los Angeles. Ribeiro has one hope for customers, regardless of which item Styles fans choose: To have a good time with it all. "It's an invitation to be playful, experiment, and have fun," he says. "There are no rules for the products!"
